New Page on Two-Way ANOVA in Excel!

Although Excel isn’t the best at calculating a two-way ANOVA, it can provide some results.  So, I created a page on how to perform the analysis in Excel.  It can be found here: https://mattchoward.com/two-way-anova-in-excel/ .  As always, email me at MHoward@SouthAlabama.edu if you have any questions or comments!

T-Tests in Excel on YouTube

I just finished uploading my latest lecture to YouTube.  It covers how to perform one-sample t-tests and two-sample t-tests in Excel.  While both are extremely important statistics, the latter cannot be easily calculated in Excel.  So, I hope that this video is helpful in figuring out how to calculate the statistic.

Here is the link to the YouTube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GOs_IXTHT5w .

One-Sample T-Test in Excel

Although I’ve been putting it off for months (years?), I finally made a guide on performing a one-sample t-test in Excel.  The “Data Analysis” add-on in Excel is not able to calculate this statistic directly, so we have to trick Excel into calculating it for us.  Nevertheless, the guide provides clear instructions on how to do so.

Statistics Lectures Now on YouTube!

Every semester, I try to upload my lectures to the University of South Alabama’s course management site, and, every semester, I run out of space before the halfway mark of the semester.  Our IT department recently recommended that I upload my videos to YouTube to avoid these space difficulties.  So, I am doing just that!

I already uploaded my first two lectures.  The first is a general review of statistics with a focus on descriptive statistics and p-values.  The second is an overview of one-variable chi-square tests and the chi-square test of independence (also called two-variable chi-square tests).  The links are provided below:

Chi-Square Test of Independence in Excel (Two Variable)

Just made a new guide as a follow-up to my prior guide!  It is on the chi-square test of independence, also known as a two-variable chi-square test.  Because the “Data Analysis” add-on in Excel does not have this function, it is a pain to calculate in Excel.  So, I hope this guide can make it a little bit easier to others.

One-Variable Chi-Square Test in Excel

I am teaching a new online class this semester, which means that I will be making more guides again!  Today, I just made a guide on calculating one-variable chi-square tests in Excel.  Because the “Data Analysis” add-on in Excel does not have this function, they are a pain to calculate in Excel.  Nevertheless, I hope this guide is helpful to some.
